In the Department of Integrated Science, students acquire the knowledge and culture necessary for working adults through general subjects in an integrated five-year educational program.

In addition, in close cooperation with specialized courses, students develop a foundation in disciplines common to each department as engineers who can respond to the rapid changes in society. In order to achieve this, duplication of course contents between high college and university, and organize an effective curriculum throughout the five years of study.

In response to the needs of the international society, students are taught to read and listen to a wide variety of books, particularly in English, following the basic principle of starting with easy-to-read books in order to develop a solid foundation.

In Japanese language education, the ability to analyze texts logically and express one's own ideas, as well as the communication skills necessary for engineers to be internationally active, are taught. Classes in natural science and mathematics, which lead to specialized subjects, not only pursue theory, but also teach applied skills that enable students to develop basic theory from an engineering perspective.
