Information is shared with others through various media, including sound, characters, pictures, etc.

The rapid development and integration of information processing and communication technologies have enabled us to handle large amounts of different types of media at the same time, and retain enormous amounts of information in common on a global scale through digitalization. In order to train engineers in multimedia-related industries, the department provides education in the following areas: (1) Multi-media representation and digital processing of information, (2) Computer systems which process multimedia information to support software and hardware technology, and (3) Structures and security of the Intemet and broadband that is ubiquitous communication technology.
